We are committed to being a responsible corporate citizen and to strengthening our local communities through financial support, community engagement and volunteer service. Our approach is underpinned by our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and engagement with key CR-related stakeholders.
In 2015, we supported over 160 charities and organizations. Here are just a few highlights:
Volunteered more than 440 hours of community service supporting 6 service events.
Supported over 125 employee-selected community investments.
Contributed to our employees’ charities of choice through our Denim Day program, donating to a different charity each month.
Raised over $85,000 for the American Cancer Society and recognized as the top fundraising team for the Relay for Life of Southern Montgomery County. Leftovers from the Baked Goods Fundraiser were donated to the Sandy Spring Fire Department.
Involved in the Ready 365 Giving Program and participates in an ongoing collaboration with the American Red Cross to organize donations for disaster relief efforts in our global community. Supported recovery efforts related to the flooding in Houston and Louisiana.
Other relief efforts include donations to the OneOrlando Fund to help those affected by the Pulse tragedy; and to Montgomery Housing Partnership and Adventist Community Services of Greater Washington to assist victims of the Silver Spring explosion.
Worked over 5 hours to assemble 1,575 care packages in support of our troops around the world.
Contributed to the Annual School Supplies Drive to provide Montgomery County Public School children with school supplies. Over the past 5 years, our donations have supported 170 students.
