The resort’s 413 one-bedroom suites and 37 two-story villas were redesigned with new furnishings, artwork, lighting and natural wood details inspired by the ocean, native plants and Hawaiian culture. Functional updates include more flexible seating, improved storage and sliding pocket doors between living and sleeping areas.
The newly transformed open-air lobby creates a stronger sense of arrival with marble floors, a domed ceiling, lush greenery, water features and expansive views across the resort to the Pacific. The space is designed as a cultural and social hub that connects guests to Maui’s landscape, culture and spirit of aloha.
The transformation introduced Pilina, an open-air oceanfront bar and restaurant within the lobby, along with Hale Kukuna, an immersive Hawaiian cultural center that brings local traditions, artifacts and storytelling to the forefront of the guest experience.
