Host Named One of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies in S&P Global’s 2023 Sustainability Yearbook for the Fourth Consecutive Year

02/10/2023

For the fourth year in a row, Host was designated as one of the world’s most sustainable companies and was one of only 13 U.S. real estate companies in S&P Global’s 2023 Sustainability Yearbook.

The Sustainability Yearbook is a showcase of the world’s leading companies among industry peers in terms of financially material environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics. The selection of companies in the 2023 Yearbook is based on the 2022 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA)—an annual evaluation of companies’ sustainability practices that also serves as the basis for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) and its list of global sustainability leaders.

In order to be listed in the Yearbook, a company must score within the top 15% of companies in its industry and achieve an S&P Global ESG Score within 30% of the industry’s top-performing company. Over 7,800 companies across 61 industries were assessed for the 2023 Yearbook—of these, only 708 top-performing companies were included in the 2023 edition.
